Functions
Tear strips are used to measure tear production, typically via the Schirmer test, which assesses reflex tear production based on mechanical stimulation without anesthesia.
Specifications
Tear strips are made from filter paper and feature a calibrated scale for easier and more precise readings. Each strip is individually wrapped and clearly marked for easy measurement during use.
Application: Before the test, avoid applying any topical medication or manipulating the eye. Gently remove the test strip from its pouch and insert the curved round tip between the animal’s lower eyelid and cornea, positioning it about halfway to two-thirds along the length of the eyelid from the inner corner.
Content: Each pouch contains 1 tear strip.
Packaging: Available in packs of 100 pouches per box.
